Dr. Marla Katz
Dr. Marla specialized in Psychodynamic Child Psychology and Psychotherapy. She earned her doctorate at The Reiss-Davis Graduate School where her research focused on the areas of development, attachment, trauma, and neuroscience. Her masters degree is in Clinical Psychology with a Child Studies Specialization from Antioch University and her undergraduate degree is from the University of Southern California. Marla is an educational consultant, lecturer and college professor. She has training and experience in a wide variety of treatment modalities, and works to tailor her therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each client as she is committed to ongoing growth and development. She has experience in private practice, community mental health, in-home, and school-based settings. She has extensive experience working with children, teens, adults, families, and couples. Her specialty is working with ADHD, 2E, NVLD, and neuro-developmental disorders. Marla supports clients in addressing concerns and transitions in relationships and family life, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, among other issues. Marla facilitates parenting groups, social skills groups, and play groups. Marla has an ability to communicate complex topics with clarity and humor and provides a personalized, empathic and non-judgmental approach.
